Woo Hoo, I think we may be getting another member on our team soon! Kristin definitely wants to walk with us! She is very excited! Of course this means that I will be kicked out of the young persons tent and put into a grown up tent :(
I walked somewhere between 6 and 7 miles today, I think the neighbors are starting to wonder. I mean come on how many times should a person circle the same block? Maybe I should expand my horizons(literally) to the next neighborhood over.
I told some of my friends our team name yesterday and they thought it was great!
Peg, I think you are a stand out captain!

The Magnificant Mammories!
Ok ladies, I have set up our team. I would post the picture that we took, but I forgot my camera. So visit the team page at some point and hopefully it will be there.
By the way, Katie and I walked almost 6 miles yesterday!

One more week! Speaking of Easter, who is in charge of the big eggs? I have picked up a couple of things for the girls eggs, some Easter shaped bath fizzies, are there only 2 boys also? What can I get for them? Anything? Just let me know.
And Peg, I was thinking(hard to believe I know) if your shoes are pink and gray, won't they clash with our orange shirts?

Bought a new pair of Nikes today, pink and gray, gotta look good too you know.
Seriously though, if you are going to get shoes you should get running shoes. Walking shoes are made out of leather where as running shoes aren't and let your feet breath easier. Did some research on that and called Lori to double check. She said you really should have a couple pair of shoes.

I like all those ideas about fundraising, where are you going to put the milk jugs? I am trying to figure out who it is appropriate to ask. I am thinking about sending out an e-mail to my friends and asking them to forward it to their friends that they think would be interested in donating. It is exciting to think about this! Especially since I am in the middle of a blizzard!! August can't come soon enough! I am also thinking about having a garage sale. I saw the business cards too I am thinking about asking businesses if I can leave some for people to take. Has anyone talked to Amy or Sheryl yet to see if they want to commit?

Fundraising
So, now all we have to do is raise $2200. Yeah! No problem!
We are going to send out letters to everyone we've ever met. I think we're (Molly & I) going to do one letter to all the people we both know, and then a few individual letters to people who only know one of us. We are also going to make some kind of a small jug or something to take around to businesses & have them put it on their counter. We're not sure what we're going to use yet or what we're going to put on it. I guess just the basics...what we're doing, where the money goes, etc. Someone at our meeting did this with milk jugs that they painted hot pink and they went every 2 weeks or so to empty it. So... we were thinking that if you guys in Ohio want to do a bunch there and take them to businesses and we can do some extra for Peg to take places (Sports Den, I don't know where else...but I'm sure you can come up with a few places), then we could all (the team) split the earnings after we take out what we spent making/decorating the jugs. The ladies at the meeting said it was an easy way to get some money. They put it out for a week or two and got $70 or so for not really doing anything, that's not bad. The only thing is making/decorating the things...but we know you Ohioans are pretty darn crafty! So let us know what you think about this. We came up with a bunch of places (10-15) to take these, but we'll keep you updated on where we do take them/what we use.
Another good tip we got from the meeting was one lady puts little business cards in with the letters she sent and asked that people hand them out to anyone that would be interested in donating. She just had basic info I guess on the b cards, where to donate, what it was for. There are some b cards on the website where they have the sampe letters, that might be what she used, but she didn't really say.
We got lots of other info at the meeting...I took notes, so I'll add some stuff later. We also each got a short dvd. If you guys want us to send one to you...let us know. Or did you get one with your packet that came in the mail? Ok, I think that's it for tonight!
