Happy New Year everbody!!! So is anyone going to look at this now that Christmas is over? I hpoe so. I have a recipe for you all, I have already sent it to Kathy and Denise but it is a good one so I'll put up on here too.
Autumn Soup
4 cups shredded cabbage 3 cubes chicken boullion
4 cups shredded potatoes 11 cups water
1/2 cup chopped onion 4 teaspoons salt
2 cups shredded carrots 1 teaspoon celery salt
Combine above ingredients and cook until tender, about 20 to 30 minutes.
In a smalll saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons margarine, stir in 4 tablespoons flour. When well mixed slowly add 4 cups milk. Stir until well blended and cook until thickened. Add this creamed mixture to cooked vegetable mixture above.
Stir in 4 cups shredded mild or medium cheddar cheese. Cook until cheese is melted and soup is warmed through.
This recipe makes a big pot and is delicious! Even Jordan really likes it!!
And by the way, I checked my snow cream recipe and mine calls for evaporated milk not sweetened condensed. So I was not wrong!! We are making some today with all this snow!
